PAN is the abbreviation for Permanent Account Number. It may be defined as a code which is used to identify Indian Nationals, especially those paying Income Tax. It mainly consist of a unique 10-alphanumeric identifier code. For example we may have ARLPA0324O, BONNC1237Y, etc.

- These consist of the following options: Application type, Acknowledgement number, Name and Date of Birth.
Under Application type – you will need to select the PAN option with either new or change request according to your needs.
Secondly, under Acknowledgement Number you can fill in the acknowledgement number or you can also type in your name. But, it is always better if you type in your acknowledgement number, since that way it is more specific.
Thirdly, under Name you must give your full name.
And lastly, under Date of Birth you must fill in your Date of Birth according to the given format you choose.

You will be shown your PAN card status and details related to your PAN card.
If you want to check your status through UTI, you just need to go to their official site. Once you are on that page, you will be asked to type in a coupon number. The coupon number is provided to you at the time when you apply for a Pan card.
You need to type in the Application coupon number. Then just press submit and you will have the status displayed.
It is very easy to verify a Pan number and find the required details.
You can just go to https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in. Then you need to click on the Know your PAN button. Once you do that, you will need to fill up some basic information of the PAN holder like address, date of birth, etc.
Once you do that, then just enter the verification code and click on the OK or SUBMIT button. If the information provided is correct, it will show all the details of the PAN card holder and if the details are not correct it will ask you to fill in the correct details again.
